Understanding Material Health and Sustainability Labels in the Built Environment

This CEU course covers material health and sustainability labels in the built environment. It provides an overview of the reasons for the increased focus on materiality and the tools and labels available for commonly used products. The course will also differentiate between product labels and other resources, compare labels and provide implementation strategies for LBC, WELL and LEED frameworks.

  • Understand the importance of product labeling for sustainability, health, safety, and welfare concerns in the built environment.

  • Identify and categorize different product labels based on their purpose and criteria.

  • Learn how to effectively interpret and read product labels for making informed decisions related to sustainability, health, safety, and welfare.

  • Discover the requirements and costs associated with obtaining various product labels and certifications.
