The Michigan Chapter of the International Interior Design Association (IIDA MI Chapter) is actively seeking enthusiastic individuals within the Commercial Interior Design sector to volunteer and contribute towards the advancement of the Interior Design profession. Our Board of Directors is dedicated to providing leadership, education, professional development, advocacy, and social engagement opportunities for our professional, industry, and student members, as well as the broader design community.

General Qualifications:
Must be a current Professional, Associate, or Industry member of IIDA or be able to join by June 1, 2026. Must be in good standing.
Shall not hold any office while active on the Board of Directors, or employed by, any other professional design organization.
Responsibilities:
Attend monthly Board of Directors meetings. Meets are held monthly, virtually and in-person throughout the year. Board members are expected to report on monthly agenda items that pertain to your role or committee.
Attend annual or bi-annual Board of Directors retreat for strategic planning, annual budgeting and team building initiatives.
Collaborate and contribute to your role and respective team.
Supervise and/or engage in chapter committees by attending meetings and taking on diverse committee responsibilities.
Attending Chapter events throughout the year, as well as Signature Events such as the Golf Outing, Annual Meeting, Professional Development Day(s), MiDesign Awards and Gala, and Finish2Fashion.
